In typography, the Vox-ATypi classification makes it possible to classify typefaces into general classes.
It proposed a eleven-type classification which tends to group typefaces according to their main characteristics :
“Classical” family : humanes, garaldes, reales
“Modern” family : didones , mechanical, linear
“Calligraphic” family : incised, scripted, manual, fractures
Not grouped in a family : non-Latin characters

Each chapter is a presentation of one typographic family, including :
3 font examples, 1 graphic reference and 1 hand-drawn font.
